This prototype engine by Pinnacle Engines is aimed at the huge scooter and three-wheel auto rickshaw market in Asia.</p>
<p>Pinnacle Engines from San Carlos, CA was founded by Monty Cleeves in 2007.  Hasselgren Engineering provided resources in design consulting, manufacturing, fabrication, engine assembly, fuel management controls and dyno testing &#8211; a one-stop shop.  Hasselgren&#8217;s AVL testbed has provided over 500 hours of testing for the prototype engine.</p>

<p>The compact screw top allows for easy filling and level checking and the assembly fits under most formula car engine bay covers.  The mounting flange has been designed to fit on the Hewland FTR style oil tank/gear cases but can be customized for other applications.</p>

<p><span style="color: #333399;"><span style="color: #000000;">Whether 4,6,8,10 or 12 cylinders, overhead cams, pushrod engines, carburettor, fuel injection, naturally aspirated or turbo, modern or vintage, Hasselgren Racing Engines has built a large portfolio of performance engines.</p>
<p>Though often associated with building Toyota engines for Formula Atlantic, Hasselgren has a strong history of building Cosworth vintage engines, Ford engines for Trans-Am and Formula Drift, Pontiac / Chevrolet engines for Grand Am Rolex and Formula Drift, and Porsche engines for Continental Cup (was Koni) and Grand-Am GT class.<br />

In the last couple of years, Hasselgren has also expanded into building single cylinder high efficiency engines for non-motorsports applications.  We welcome inquiries for new applications.</span><br />

<p>Barrel throttles have an inherent advantage over butterfly throttles in regards to flow and power.   This package has been designed for stock port injection or &#8220;trumpet&#8221; injection.</p>
<p>In &#8220;trumpet&#8221; or &#8220;gantry&#8221; style injection systems (where the injector is mounted upstream of the velocity stack) the barrel throttle typically has issues with part throttle fuel droplet handling.  Hasselgren’s internal design details addresses these shortcomings.</p>
<p>Note: as a retrofit to a Swift 014 chassis, the trunnion bar also needs to be replaced.</p>
